Mumbai saw a marginal rise in new Covid-19 cases as 331 cases were reported on Saturday. The Covid-19 fatalities saw a dip as five deaths were reported across the city.


City’s test positivity rate saw a marginal rise on Saturday, but remained below 1 per cent. The doubling rate dipped and was 1,642 days on Saturday. 


Of the five deaths, three deceased had comorbidities. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 473 people recovered and were discharged on Saturday.


The state’s Covid-19 cases saw a marginal rise as 6,061 cases were registered on Saturday. State’s fatalities dipped and were recorded at 128.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) also saw a marginal rise, but the number of new cases remained below 1,000 on Saturday. As per the state report, 851 cases were reported in the MMR region, including cases from Mumbai.

Meanwhile, 25,012 people took first dose of the vaccine on Saturday, and 10,472 people got the second dose.
