Prashant Pandey found Jango two years ago and nursed him back to health
Prashant Pandey is putting up posters in his hunt for Jango
A dog lover in Parel is leaving no stone unturned to find the stray dog who used to live in his colony. Prashant Pandey found Jango, the missing dog, two years ago outside his residence at Central Railway Colony in Parel.

“It looked like he was abandoned. He was in such a bad condition that one could see his bones. I took him to the vet and nursed him,” said Pandey. “After treatment, he got better and started living in Central Railway Colony in Parel,” he added. Jango disappeared on the night of November 20, 2020. “I thought he wandered off somewhere and will return. But he didn’t show up the next morning, which made me believe something bad has happened,” Pandey said.
Pandey and his wife have checked everywhere in a five-km radius from their residence, but haven’t found Jango. Now the couple is putting up posters, promising a reward. “Dogs normally don’t leave their territory. I suspect something bad has happened to him. Hence, I put up posters offering a reward of R5,000 for any information about him,” Pandey said. The family did receive some calls but by the time they reached the spot, the dog was gone.
