A 19-year-old boy died after his motorcycle collided with a BEST bus at Marve road on Monday.


The deceased has been identified as Cyrus Pitter Arul Dass, a resident of Malvani Church area.

According to Malvani police, Dass was on way to his college in Uttan on Monday when his ‘Piaggio’ bike crashed head-on with a BEST bus going towards Malad near Marve T-junction on Marve road.

“Due to the collision’s impact, the bike fell around 20 metres away on the road and Dass died on the spot. We have detained the bus driver and booked him under relevant sections of the IPC. Further investigation is on,” said an officer from the Malvani police station.
