Almost two weeks after the leading lady of the C-grade movie Haunted Jungle lodged a complaint against filmmaker Kanti Shah for circulating an obscene video clip by morphing her face on someone else’s nude body, officials from Santacruz police station arrested Shah from Andheri.

Officials laid a trap and apprehended Shah following a tip-off about his whereabouts. He was produced in court and was remanded in two-day police custody. The Cyber Crime Cell officials will also question Shah for the alleged circulation of the obscene video clip.
In her complaint, the actress claimed that she came to know about the clip after one of her friends informed her about it. She said the original clip shot by Shah was supposed to be used for promoting the film.
The actress even claimed that she received lewd calls ever since the clip went viral, which caused mental trauma besides tarnishing her image. The case was also forwarded to the Cyber Crime Cell. Rubbishing the allegations levelled against him by the actress and that he was on the run, Shah, in his defence, had then said he was out of town on a business trip.
Shah had even accused the actress of implicating him in a false case, claiming that she wanted more money. This, he said, despite giving her the full amount she had been promised in the contract she signed for the film.
