As Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange embarks on his padayatra towards Mumbai, passing through Navi Mumbai, the police issued a traffic advisory on Thursday. The advisory includes details of routes to be avoided on January 25 to ensure a smooth flow of vehicular movements.
According to the Navi Mumbai Police's traffic advisory, several routes have been diverted for traffic movements and alternate routes have been issued by the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police.

The Navi Mumbai Police said, "Manoj Jarange Patil has started a walk from Jalna to Mumbai for Maratha reservation. As the said padayatra will also pass from the jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai Police on 25/01/24, a notification has been issued regarding the changes in regular traffic in the Navi Mumbai Police jurisdiction."
Details of traffic diversions and alternate routes-
- Entry restricted for buses and all types of vehicles travelling to and from Turbe Railway Station Uddanpul, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Vashi via Turbhe to Airoli Circle and Vashi Road.
Alternate Route: Vehicles coming from Turbhe Railway Station Uddanpul to Vashi and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Vashi will go through the Sion-Panvel Highway.
- Entry restricted for vehicles coming from Kopar Khairane White House towards Kopari on Kopar Uddanpul on Thane-Belapur Road.
Alternate Route: Vehicles coming from Kopar Khairane White House to Kopari will go through Turbhe and Turbhe Railway Station via roads under this route to reach their destinations.
- The route to and from Sanpada Bridge Shikara Hotel to Annapurna signal will be closed.
Alternate route: From or to Sanpada Bridge Shikara Hotel to Annapurna signal will use the Sion-Panvel Highway to reach their destination.
- Entry for vehicles going to Panvel city, New Panvel city would be restricted.
Alternative routes- Panvel City, New Panvel City may take only Kalamboli Circle route to reach their desired destinations.
- Vehicles are prohibited at Kalamboli Circle, Karanjade towards Panvel City- JNPT route.
Alternative route- Kalamboli Circle-Karanjade-Panvel City Vehicles going to JNPT, Panvel and proceed to their desired destination via city route.
Seawood Traffic Department
Entry restriction is imposed on all types of vehicles coming from Killa Junction (NRAI), Seawood Sector No. 50 Signal, Akshar Signal, T.S. Chanakya Signal, Vazirani Signal, Sarasole Signal, Moraj Circle to Palm Beach Road and Mumbai, Thane towards Vashi, Koparkhairane, APMC, as well as towards Mumbai and Thane.
Alternative route: Vehicles coming from Killa Junction (NRAI), Seawood Sector No. 50 Signal, Akshar Signal, T.S. Chanakya Signal, Vazirani Signal, Sarasole Signal, Moraj Circle to Pambeach Road and Mumbai, Thane towards Vashi, Koparkhairane, APMC will reach the desired destination via Palm Beach Road to Navi Mumbai city.
- Entry restricted for vehicles coming to Konfatak via Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
Alternative route- Mumbai-Pune Expressway, vehicles coming to Konfatak will go via Kalamboli Circle to their desired destination.
- Entry restrictions- Vehicles coming to Mumbai-Pune Expressway's Borle Toll Naka Borle Toll.
Alternative route- Mumbai-Pune Expressway-Borle Toll, vehicles coming to Nakyakade may use Khalapur and Khopoli route to go to the desired destination.
- Vehicles coming from Khalapur Rasaani Kaduna via Dandphata via Shendug Kade will be restricted.
Alternative routes- Khalapur Rasaani Kaduna via Dandphata via Shendug Kade. Vehicles coming via Mumbai-Pune Expressway will go to the desired destination via Kalamboli Circle.
Vashi Traffic Department
- Entry restriction: Blue Diamond Circle to Koparkhairane, Palm Beach and APMC
- Alternative route: All vehicles coming from Blue Diamond Circle to Koparkhairane and Pambeach, as well as to APMC, will reach Mumbai and Pune via the Sion-Panvel Highway route to reach their desired destination.
CBD Traffic Department
Entry restriction: Vehicles coming from CBD Circle to Bhau Patil Chowk-Divale Gaon Signal to Killa Junction towards Palm Beach Road and Mumbai, Thane.
Alternative route- Vehicles going from CBD Circle to Bhau Patil Chowk-Divale Gaon Signal to Killa Junction towards Palm Beach Road and Mumbai, Thane will reach their desired destination via Palm Beach Road to Navi Mumbai city.
