Chief Minister Uddav Thackeray was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on Wednesday evening for treatment following a persistent neck pain.

Thackeray reached the hospital after chairing the cabinet meeting online. Earlier in the day, he had tweeted that during the pandemic period he was too busy to pay attention to the niggling pain in his neck, but now, he said, he must get it attended to before the problem worsens.

"I will be in the hospital for two-three days," he tweeted as sources said a surgery had been planned for him. Revealing the ailment, the CM attended an online function wearing a neck-brace.
