Various parts of the city received light showers at around 1 am on Sunday. The IMD had forecast three days of partly clouded sky, including a wet Saturday evening, from Friday with Sunday being dry.

The light rain is under the influence of a cyclonic circulation likely to form over southwest Rajasthan on January 22.

While Sunday will mostly remain dry, it will witness cloudy skies and winds.

As a result of the western disturbance, mercury will significantly drop in parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai.

As per the 7-day forecast of IMD, the minimum temperature is likely to further drop to 13 degrees Celsius on January 24. The minimum temperature of the city will likely remain between 13 to 16 degree celcius for the next seven days.

On a related note, Mumbai air quality is under "unhealthy" category with AQI 160, according to Swiss weather organisation IQair. At 72.6, the PM2.5 concentration in Mumbai's air is currently 14.5 times above the WHO annual air quality guideline value.

It is advisable to avoid outdoor exercises today. While stepping out, don't forget to wear an N95 mask.
