Mumbai: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's heart surgery was successfully conducted at BKC's Asian Heart Institute on Wednesday morning.
Doctors at the hospital said he underwent three procedures -- one to replace an aortic valve, another to repair the aorta and the third to repair a 3mm hole in his heart.

The operation lasted nearly six hours.
Hospital officials said his condition is stable and he is now recuperating in the ICU following the major heart surgery.
