On Monday, the total water stock across the seven reservoirs that provide drinking water to Mumbai has reached at 99.24 per cent.

According to data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the water level in Tansa stands at 98.69 per cent.
Modak-Sagar reservoir is holding a substantial 99.99 per cent of its water stock.
The water levels in the Middle Vaitarna, Upper Vaitarna, Bhatsa, Vihar, and Tulsi reservoirs are at 98.52 per cent, 99.58 per cent, 99.27 per cent, 100 per cent, and 100 per cent of their respective usable capacities.

As of October 2, the collective water storage in these seven lakes amounts to 14,36,409 million liters, which is approximately 14,47,363 million liters, reflecting nearly full capacity.
Meanwhile, BMC also stated that the average rainfall in Mumbai City, Eastern Suburbs and Western Suburbs on October 1, 2023, from 8 am to October 2, 8 am is at 11.43 mm, 6.33 mm, 3.07 mm respectively.
The IMD predcited light to moderate rainfall in the city on October 2, Monday and also issued a 'green' alert to Mumbai and neighbouring districts.
"Partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rain/thundershower in Mumbai city and suburbs," stated BMC.
On October 2, Mumbai will receive a high tide of ┬а4.41 meter at 1:25 pm and low tide of 0.22 meter at 7:36 pm.
A few of the buses in Sion aread were diverted early morning fue to moderate rainfall in the city. According to the BEST official, the BEST bus routes which were diverted earlhy morning around 5 am, were restored around 9 am.┬а
