Unable to digest that she is in a relationship with his friend, Verma confronts her in a drunken stupor and warns her to stay away from him

The two men come to blows over the girl in her own apartment in the Sai Plaza building at Nandivali, Kalyan. During the scuffle, the two friends land up in the balcony, and Verma pushes Chaudhary off the edge. (Right) Chaudhary plummets from the second storey to the ground, and only just survives the fall
Verma calls Choudhary’s brother-in-law to take him to the hospital. Meanwhile, he straightens up the apartment and threatens the girl into silence. Chaudhary succumbs to his injuries on the way to the hospital. Cops arrive at the bargirl’s flat and realise that the crime scene has been dressed. The girl tells the cops everything and they arrest Verma for murder and destruction of evidence. He is remanded in police custody till July 27, says Inspector Suresh Raut of Manpada police station
