The city police have evoked Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against Naik and his accomplices. Naik was arrested on December 20, when he and his aides allegedly came to collect cash from a builder.
Naik had earlier abducted the builder and threatened to kill him if he didn’t pay Rs 50 lakh and give a 6,000-sq-ft space in his upcoming project.
