According to the BMC report, Mumbai reported 1,411 cases and 11 deaths. The TPR dipped below 4 and was recorded at 3.62 per cent.
Ten of the COVID-19 fatalities had comorbidities. While one of them was in the age group of 40-60, the rest were above the age of 60.
Around 87 per cent of the patients who turned positive on Saturday were asymptomatic. The recovery rate improved and was at 97 per cent as 3,547 patients were discharged. The doubling rate improved and was at 322 days.
The state saw a marginal rise in the number of cases and a slight drop in the number of deaths. As per the report, 27,971 new cases and 61 deaths were reported across the state.
The state’s case-fatality rate remained constant at 1.85 per cent. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region registered 3,456 infections, with Raigad and Navi Mumbai reporting 298 and 567 cases respectively, highest in the MMR after Mumbai. While Thane Municipal Corporation saw 274 cases, Vasai-Virar had 183 cases and Thane city had 116 cases.
