According to police, he has been booked for 18 serious offences since 1987 ,including during externment proceedings in which he has committed two more crimes.

An ex-corporator who had alleged that the Deputy Commissioner of Police is pressuring him to join Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde faction has been externed from Thane and Mumbai suburban district for two years on Friday. The corporator MK Madhavi made this sensational claim in a press conference last week, adding he was also asked for Rs 10 lakh by the officer. According to police, he has been booked for 18 serious offences since 1987, including during externment proceedings in which he has committed two more crimes.

Manohar K Madhavi, an ex-corporator has remained a controversial political leader of Shiv Sena in Navi Mumbai. “The order has been issued after the due process. There are 18 offences against the accused from 1987,” said DCP (zone 1) Vivek Pansare. Madhavi said, “The action was expected from DCP Pansare as I haven’t obeyed his orders. In most cases, I have been acquitted. I will challenge this order in court.”
