The counsel for Jayadev Thackeray, Seema Sarnaik, on Wednesday, submitted compact discs and documents in court in the case of the former’s battle with brother Uddhav over their father, the late Bal Thackeray’s, will. Justice G S Patel rejected the application to accept some of the documents presented by Jayadev. But, the CD containing Raj’s speeches was given later and the court was to yet take a decision on whether or not to accept it.
Will Raj be witness?
Jayadev is likely said to take Raj’s help to support his claim. While no one in political circles is willing to confirm this, sources said that Raj is likely to be one of the eight witnesses for Jayadev.

When contacted, senior MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar, who is a close friend of Raj, told mid-day, “Rajsaheb and party workers are on a visit to Nashik where it is raining heavily. I will check with him and revert on whether he is a witness for Jayadev.”
While Jayadev and his wife Anuradha are on the witness list, it is not clear who the others are.
Uddhav had presented Dr Jalil Parkar, F D’Souza and MLC Anil Parab as his witnesses. Jayadev’s in-camera cross-examination is slated to resume today.
Fiery speeches
In 2012, Raj, in his speeches, had claimed several times that Uddhav was taking all decisions and Bal Thackeray was forced to acquiesce. Raj had, at the time, during several interviews, also claimed that people had complained to him about Uddhav’s behaviour.
Raj, meanwhile, had praised Jayadev in some speeches and had even mentioned in a speech that Uddhav was calling the shots and when he complained about it to Balasaheb, he did nothing. Raj had claimed to a television channel that it was difficult to rely on Uddhav as he constantly changed his stand.
Recent meeting
Raj had recently visited Matoshree to meet Uddhav, though nothing about the meeting was revealed to the media.
It was later said to be a regular family meeting between the cousins.
