The Crime Branch arrested a 24-year-old, who is a relative of the deceased’s female friend
Wasim Chaudhary, the deceased
The investigation in the death of the 21-year-old who was knifed at Mahim Chowpatty has taken another twist as the Crime Branch handed over a 24-year-old man, a close relative of the deceased’s female friend, as prime suspect. The Crime Branch nabbed the suspect from Aurangabad and handed him to the Mahim Police on Friday.

However, Mahim Police claimed that they haven’t got any evidence against the suspect, yet. The police has arrested two persons in the murder of Wasim Choudhary on the night of February 2. The role of 20-year-old Hina Sheikh, Wasim’s friend who was with him at the time, has been established in the case. The police claim the girl was actively involved in the crime.
Officials claimed the suspect is a close relative of Hina and was angry that she was allegedly married to Wasim. He wanted to take revenge. Pravin Kadam, Senior Inspector, Mahim Police said the investigation is still on.
