The complainant, Jayesh Madhukar Kadu, a resident of Navasai Bhatane, took a U-turn in i10 from Khanivade Bridge at around 10.45 am. As their cars neared, a fight broke out. Maniktala tried to forcefully stop Kadu’s car. Later, he whipped out a revolver and fired three rounds in the air. Later, he drove away and hid in the factory. Kadu informed the police. A few hours later, when Maniktala was returning home around 2.30 pm, he was caught during a nakabandi and arrested. “We have registered a case under the Fire Arm Section 3, 25, and 27,” said a police officer. During investigations, it was found that the gun was bought from ibguns.com.

“The gun and bullets are being verified by ballistic experts,” said Additional Superintendent of Police, Shrikrishna Kokate of Palghar district. The police said they suspect that he may have been using a fake gun with the intent to threaten.
