A three-year-old boy, who was reported to be missing for over two weeks, was found dead in Vasai area of the district, police said today

Palghar: A three-year-old boy, who was reported to be missing for over two weeks, was found dead in Vasai area of the district, police said today.

Bhavesh Bobade had gone missing in the intervening night of September 6 and 7. A case under section 363 (missing) of IPC was lodges by his parents. After which a search was launched, Palghar Additional Superintendent of Police Srikrishna Kokate said.

His body, which was highly decomposed, was found last night from a water tank near a construction site in Waliv area of Vasai, he added. His body was fished out and sent for post-mortem, the official said, adding investigations are underway.
