Thane forest department, CIDCO launch RRT vehicle to prevent forest fire

The territorial range of the Thane forest department along with the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) have launched a Rapid Rescue Team (RRT) vehicle in order to prevent forest fire at Parsik Hill in Navi Mumbai

The territorial range of the Thane forest department along with the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) have launched a Rapid Rescue Team (RRT) vehicle in order to prevent forest fire at Parsik Hill in Navi Mumbai.


K.P.Singh, Chief conservator of forest, Thane forest department, said, “There were many incidents of forest fire witnessed on the Parsik hill. With this vehicle we can prevent the forest fire, which affects the overall biodiversity of the forest.”


The vehicle is equipped with a fire extinguisher, torches, showel, nails, fire beater, air blower petrol, jerry can, icebox, fire fighting equipments, first aid kit, search light and folder stretcher.
