The Ambernath police arrested two people, including one eunuch, for creating ruckus late on Saturday. The duo was arrested at a nakabandi when they were stopped for documents, but the eunuch started disrobing in the presence of women constables.
The arrested accused have been identified as Akshay Mahendra Wagh (21) and Billu Devdas Yurate (22), both residents of Ambernath. According to the police, Wagh was driving the motorcycle, while Yurate, the eunuch, was riding pillion. “At the Matka Chowk nakabandi, they were stopped and asked to show their license and documents. Wagh refused and started an argument with the constable, claiming this amounted to harassment,” said a senior officer from Ambernath station. There were around 10 cops stationed — two inspectors, two women constables and the remaining constables.
