Thane: Two persons have been booked in connection with the alleged rape of a 22-year-old housewife in Thane, after a woman kept guard outside the house while the accused assaulted the victim inside, police said on Friday.

PI MV Patil of Wagle Estate police station told PTI that the duo had been booked under sections 376 and 342 rw 34 of the IPC but there has been no no arrest so far.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, a resident of Sainath Nagar the incident took place on May 16, at about 3 pm when he had gone to her aunt's house. At that time accused Anita Devi (27) forcibly took her into a house in Louis Wadi locality where assaulter Ashok Mahato, 30 raped her in captivity while the woman kept vigil outside.
