Palghar: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three persons in Vasai area of the district, following which the accused were arrested, police said on Thursday.

The girl, who hails from Solapur district, was allegedly raped between June 8 and 9 by three persons, one after the other, who also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident, Police PRO Suresh Nirmal said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the girl, a case was registered under relevant sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Valiv Police Station, he said.
The trio has been arrested and investigation is underway, police said.
