The wife of TV actor Manoj Goyal was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her Lokhandwala flat on Saturday between 11 am and 1 am.

Apparently the cause of suicide was depression. The police said the 40-year-old Nilima Goyal was disturbed because Manoj was not getting many new roles and his second career as cameraman was also not going well

The incident came to light when her daughter could not enter their apartment after repeatedly banging on the door. She along with her neighbours entered the apartment using a spare key, only to find that the bedroom door was locked from the inside. They alerted the police who broke down the door to find Neelima hanging from the ceiling. The Samta Nagar police senior inspector Dilip Yadav said, "The daughter of the deceased with the help of spare keys entered the flat and found the bedroom door locked from inside. The girl alerted her neighbours who then called the police."

According to a report in Times of India, actor told the police, "My wife quarrelled frequently for no reason."

Manoj Goyal is a popular comedy actor and has starred in several SAB TV shows like 'Golmal Hai Bhai Sab Golmal Hai', 'Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai.'
