A sudden downpour took place in several parts of the city on late Friday night, which continued till early Saturday morning.

Several areas in the Western, central suburbs and certain areas of Navi Mumbai were reportedly affected the most.

This was not the first time that Mumbaikars bore witness to unseasonal rainfall.

Thundershowers occurred in several parts of the city in November this year.

Weather department officials are predicting more showers during the course of the day.
