Deputy Head of Navi Mumbai RTO, Sanjay Daygude, had organised a drawing contest for the students of North Point School and St Mary School in Kopar Khairane during the recently concluded Road Safety Week
Navi Mumbai: As part of the recently concluded Road Safety Week, a drawing competition was organised at North Point School in Navi Mumbai last week. The contest was organised by Deputy Head of Navi Mumbai Regional Transport Office (RTO) Sanjay Daygude for the students of North Point School and St Mary School in Kopar Khairane. Around 30 students from Std VIII to Std X participated in the competition.

Paper work: School kids exhibit their artistic side at the competition
The objective of the contest was to spread awareness about road safety among schoolchildren. Drawing teacher of North Point School Ravi Shankar said, “I am happy that students have participated in this competition. This is the best way to teach them the importance of road safety.”
Shankar and Daygude judged all the drawings submitted by the students that were created using poster and watercolours. “I participated in this competition to spread the message of road safety, as one should always follow rules. People should adhere to traffic norms as it prevents innocent lives from being lost,” said Olin Borman, a Std VIII students of the North Point School.
