In the letter written by Chairperson of the Commissioner Susieben Shah, she asked that a status report on the case be submitted to the commission by the end of the week.
She also advised the police department to seek a doctor’s opinion to verify the authenticity of the claims made by Paraskar that he cannot undergo a polygraph (lie detector) test because he has undergone bypass surgery in the past.
Meanwhile, Paraskar’s anticipatory bail application is to be heard at the Sessions Court today, and the police are likely to oppose it. He has been granted two extensions already, and has been uncooperative with investigators, say sources.
