It said the deceased identified as Sudhir Suman on board the vessel 'MT SEA PRINCESS II' was shot at and injured in the firing by the pirates on January 2. Suman later succumbed to his injuries and his body was reported to have been thrown into the sea by the pirates on April 26, the Directorate said in a press release said quoting reliable sources.
Another Indian seafarer Kamal Singh was injured in the shooting but as per the managers he is fine now and working onboard. The ship reached the port of Aden on May 6.
