The war between state allies, the Sena and BJP, seems to have moved to Twitter. A Twitter handle, that said it was the BJP’s IT cell’s, had put out an insulting tweet on Tuesday. ‘Uddhav Thackeray ji is suffering from dynasty syndrome, someone plz took him to doctor, politics run by leaders not dynasty (sic).

The Sena went into a tizzy over this, and the BJP, until 2am on Wednesday, had been trying to firefight.
Awdhut Wagh, state BJP spokesperson, said, “This is not the BJP’s official twitter handle. Our party’s official line is to never attack political leaders, and with someone of the stature of Uddhav Thackeray is out of the question.”
The handle was allegedly being operated by someone from Pune.
A senior Sena leader said, “The BJP claims that the handle is not the party’s official one. Why then have they not initiated any action and how can someone openly use the name of their party for anti-party activities?”
