Directorate General of Shipping officials said they had received information from the local agents Seaprime Private Limited and the Indian Defence advisor in Nairobi that the ship had been released.
"On completion of discharging her cargo at the Bosasso harbour off north east Somalia the vessel is expected to proceed to the Port of Aden," an official release from the DG Shipping stated here.
The ship, which bears a Panama flag and is owned by a Yemen based company, had been hijacked by Somali pirates in January and was held to ransom.
