It could well be that Doctor Death may have claimed more victims than what he has confessed to. A day after news about the six cold-blooded murders in Satara broke out, six people from adjacent villages whose family members had a connection to Santosh Pol and are also missing, have now approached the police.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Pol has been brought in to verify the sixth missing body of the 45-year-old HIV positive Vanita Narhari Gaikwad that was located in Karad in 2008.
On Wednesday, reports flooded in that two women and four men, who are also missing, could be connected to the case. Superintendent of police (Satara), Sanjay Patil said, "In all our jurisdiction, we have some 23 cases of missing people that we are probing. On Wednesday, some six family members, whose kin are missing and also had a connection to Pol, approached us."
Missing body found
Meanwhile, the police is now investigating to determine if the body of a woman found floating in Umraj in a Karad river in 2008 was the same as Vanita Gaikwad who went missing around the same time.
A team on Wednesday took Pol to Karad to probe that angle. A senior officer said, "Vanita went missing on August 12, 2008 and Pol has confessed that he hit her with a hard object and later threw her body in the Krishna River,” adding, "We have asked the police officer to give us the details about viscera and the cause of death."
