He also said that hard copies of the results of aptitude tests will also be distributed on the June 15 when SSC marksheets will be distributed.
Help at hands
Stress levels are going up and helplines are getting ready to help students as well as parents.
Programme co-ordinator at the i-call helpline centre, Paras Sharma said, “During result season we issue different articles in the public domain to help students cope with the pressure. This year we have already released articles such as What to do if the result is not what you expected, What to do with your results? etc. More articles will be released such as how to choose your career, different career options which do not consider marks etc. The call takers at helplines are aware of the situation and are trained to provide psychological help.”
Clinical Psychologist Dr. Seema Hingorani said, “It is important that students keep calm and consider this as a random examination. The Std X examination result cannot determine one’s entire life.”
Pawan Gaikwad, one of the counsellors appointed by the state board, said, “Stress related calls have started coming in. Questions such as what will I do if I do not score as expected or how will my parents react if my score is less than what they expect, are being posed. We are all trained counsellors and are equipped to attend these calls. While the main objective is to deter anyone from taking any drastic steps, several cases of depression have been resolved.
