In the letter to the police, the actor states, "I am writing to file a complaint against some unknown miscreants who have been creating and spreading rumours on the social media about my death as a result of which several of my family and friends have been disturbed."

Rumours about the actor has occurred not once but twice in the last ten days. The actor writes, "one incident happened on or around ten days ago and again on April 6, we were barraged by calls from near and dear ones when photographs of some other unknown dead person and his family were being circulated as my pictures.

Rajpal has requested the police to investigate from where these rumours originated. He states, "I request you to take action against these people and find out where the entire story emanated from. My well-wisher, Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar, from the Shiv Sena Chitrapat Sena has suggested that he will file a complaint on my behalf as I am busy shooting for my film Kick 2 in Hyderabad."

When contacted Bardapurkar confirmed saying, "we have submitted the complaint with the cyber cell."
