Less than a week after Bollywood actress Preity Zinta filed a case of alleged molestation against former boyfriend, Ness Wadia, the police is considering changing the charges of molestation to stalking. According to Marine Drive police, in the emails addressed to Ness, Preity had warned the businessman not to follow her.

“We are considering changing the section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) to section 354 D (stalking). As Preity had warned him not to follow her, this section should fit,” said a police officer.
Sources also claim that the duo might settle the issue out of court, as the actress has given consent to apply lenient sections in the matter. Currently, the Marine Drive police are waiting for Preity to return to the country, after which they are planning to take her to the Garware Pavilion in Wankhede stadium to recount the incident of May 30.
They have already sent an email to her official Kings XI Punjab ID, and have also spoken to her lawyer Hitesh Jain, asking him to inform his client to get in touch with them as soon as possible. In addition, the police have written to IPL and BCCI officials in order to obtain a list of spectators at the pavilion and details of seating arrangement, among others, at the time of the incident.
“The list should tell us who was present in the match and we will check with them to find out if they witnessed any argument between the two,” said a senior police official. They may also question IPL CEO Sundar Raman and Chairman Ranjit Biswal, along with players who were present at the time of the match.
