Parts of Mumbai to go thirsty today and tomorrow

There will be no water supply in parts of the island city due to connectivity work on the Marol-Maroshi tunnel and repairs of the new Pali inlet pipeline near Bandra today and tomorrow

There will be no water supply in parts of the island city due to connectivity work on the Marol-Maroshi tunnel and repairs of the new Pali inlet pipeline near Bandra today and tomorrow.


The first phase of the work began at noon yesterday and was slated to go on till 4 am today. The next phase will go on from 10 am today to 7 am tomorrow. According to officials, the water cut is taking place because the tunnel between Mahim and Race Course via Ruparel needs to be isolated.


The areas facing 100% water cut today include Nariman Point, Cuffe Parade, Navy Nagar, Military area, Boribunder, Colaba, Back Bay, Azad Maidan, N S Road, Bombay Hospital, Altamount Road, Pedder Road, Little Gibbs Road, Napean Sea Road, Bhulabhai Desai Road, Tardeo, Bomanji Petit Road, Ganesh Temple D Kadam Road, AKG Nagar, Dharavi Road, Mount Mary Zone, Perry Road, Chapel Road, Ambedkar Road and Khar Danda.


Tomorrow, there will be no supply in Navy Nagar, Cuffe Parade, Nariman Point, Colaba, Bombay Hospital, Kalbadevi, C P Tank, Phanaswadi, Bhuleshwar, Dhobi Talao, Walkeshwar, Girgaum, Thakurdwar Raghoji Outlet, Carmichael Road, Little Gibbs Road and Mumbai Central.
