One man was injured in a firing incident in north Mumbai's Dahisar area late on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred late on Tuesday night at a gambling club located near the national park. A person identified as Naresh Mishra (30) fired four rounds. Three bullets were fired in the air, while one bullet ricocheted after hitting the wall and injured a Chinese stall worker, identified as Naresh Shivappa.
Shivappa was rushed to a local hospital immediately and later shifted to Shatabdi hospital. The accused, Naresh Mishra fled from the spot and is currently in hiding.
The Chinese stall owner filed a complaint, after which the Dahisar police filed a case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and under Arms act.
According to sources, the entire area where the incident occurred is known for its nefarious activities. There are many illegal liquor shops and a number of murders have taken place in the area.
DCP of Zone 12, Raam Kumaar, has informed that the incident occured at around 1:30 am and the accused and victim were acquaintances. "Why the firing happened is not known. But it has come to light that both had a fight following an argument," said Kumar.
The accused is absconding and the police have launched a man hunt.
