An oil spill caused a near tragic pile up of northbound traffic near the JVLR junction on the Western Express Highway early this morning.
Around 2 am, three cars, four bikes, a tempo and a tanker skidded because of the spill causing damage to the vehicles and minor injuries to one person.
Jai Prakash (31), who on his way to Borivli in a Honda City, collided with a tempo and then a tanker. "We were really lucky that the tempo stopped in time and only damaged the rear," he said.
Fire brigade officials have now covered the spill with sand, but speeding vehicles could still face a problem.
