“A local boy named Ritu Mohite had domesticated pigeons and my brother used to help him by catching the birds. He always used to jump between buildings and I warned him many times. He never listened to me,” said Umesh Ubale, Paritosh’s brother.

Paritosh, who lived with his two elder brothers (Avinash, 22 and Umesh, 19 years) and his mother, fell from the four-storey building at around 12.30 pm. The locals admitted him to Vashi civic hospital. According to the chief medical officer of the hospital, Paritosh died due to major head injury, which resulted in heavy bleeding.

Paritosh’s father Vishwanath works as a colour contractor in Hyderabad but was in Koparkhairane at the time of the incident. “I can’t believe that I have lost my son. Since past one month, he repeatedly asked me to take him to his grandparents but I did not allow. Had I sent him there, he would have been alive today,” said the grieving father.
