The Tulinj police have recorded the statements of three teachers in the case of the alleged sexual assault on a 4-year-old girl in school; medical test on the child did not reveal any injury marks on her person
One female and two male teachers were detained by the Tulinj police on Monday, in the case of the 4-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted in the toilet of a Nalasopara school on July 8.

mid-day had reported on July 12 on how the child had told the police that her teachers had taken her to a toilet in the school, partially disrobed her and assaulted her. (‘4-year-old-girl sexually assaulted by teachers in Nalasopara school’). The police have recorded the statement of three teachers, and are interrogating them.
The Tulinj police also carried out a medical test on the survivor, but didn’t find any injury marks on her private parts. Police sources said that the victim is yet to identify the accused. According to the police, on July 8, the survivor told her mother that two teachers one of them female had sexually assaulted her inside a toilet.
On Saturday morning, parents protested against the school, wanting action. On the same day the Tulinj police registered a case under Section 376 (rape) and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, against unknown people.

Palghar Additional Superintendent of Police K Kokate said, “We have picked up two male teachers and one female teacher for interrogation. We found that the incident occurred from the survivor’s statement, but we didn’t find any injury marks on the survivor.
We are in the process of recording the teachers’ statements and if we find anyone, we will arrest them. We are not sure about the accused, and on suspicion we have detained the teachers.”
