In times where accident victims are left unattended for fear of police and inquiry, it’s heartening to see compassion. That was the scene at Ghatkopar station last night, when three working professionals came across a bleeding boy and didn’t think twice before ensuring that he got medical attention immediately.

The boy, who had an injury on his face, was taken to Rajawadi hospital.

On Monday night, Aashish Sharma, Sandeep Jaiswal and Nikhil Rawal, who work in a private firm in Powai, left for home. When they reached Ghatkopar station, they saw a boy, who appeared to be in his early teens, sitting on the platform bleeding from a cut on his face. Jaiswal went up to him and tried to find out his name and home, but the boy was unable to speak.

“We were worried because he had an injury on his face and was bleeding. So, we rushed him to Mahatma Phule hospital, but there was no CT scan machine there. So then, we took him to Rajawadi hospital and got him admitted,” said Jaiswal.

The three friends have now requested the RPF and other authorities to find out who the boy is and locate his family.
