The 33-year-old victim accused the two of calling her repeatedly since April this year posing as producers and promising her roles in television serials and movies; the accused are currently absconding
A 33-year-old Hindi film actress has filed a case against the two men at the Santacruz police station, alleging harassment. She has accused the duo of calling her repeatedly since April and promising her film roles in return of ‘favours’. The accused, identified as Om Prakash Morya and Sahil, are on the run.

The actress approached the police, with her manager on Thursday night, following which her complaint was lodged. The accused were booked under sections 507 (Criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code and under relevant sections of the IT Act.
The harassment
The victim claimed that the duo somehow managed to get hold of her number and started calling her offering good roles in TV serials and films.
They introduced themselves as producers. She alleged the duo offered her Rs 2 lakh and demanded ‘favours’ in return. Despite the victim asking them to contact her manager for work related queries, they insisted on speaking and meeting her personally.
They once asked her to meet them at JW Marriott to discuss their offers. But the victim sent her manager. However, the accused failed to show up. The victim even blocked a few of their numbers, but the duo continued calling using different numbers.
It finally struck the actress that the two were crooks and she lodged an FIR against them. The Santacruz police officials have now launched a manhunt to nab Morya and Sahil. Officials also suspect that the duo is not even remotely associated with the film industry.
“The victim has been a part of the film industry for the last 10 years and has acted in various Hindi movies. They offered her money for one night, but she refused. Despite her refusal, they kept on sending her messages. She showed us all their messages,” a police official said.
