An incident of house breaking has been reported with the Sewri police station, wherein 34.13 kg ketamine drugs, worth Rs 12 lakh, have been stolen from Nanawati godown at Reay Road where the Director Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Customs agencies keep their seized goods.

An officer from Sewri police station said, “DRI had seized the goods in 2011. Two months ago, when they checked the drugs, they saw that out of 20 packets, seven were stolen.”

Following this, last week the officials decided to register the case with Sewri police station and the unidentified accused has been booked under section 380 (theft in dwelling house) of the IPC.
