A 50 years old woman was forcefully raped in a Innova car and construction side by a builder on the pretext of showing a new flat and shop at Virar on Saturday.

The accused is identified as Anand Prakash Chaubey (50), who is a small builder and politician residing at Virar . The survivor is from Ahmedabad who used to stay in Virar, running a beauty parlor and tailoring work in her residing flat.

The police said that the accused took around Rs 11.50 lakh cash, 70 grams gold and 2 kg silver from woman and promised to give her flat in his building. The accused is still absconding.
According to the sources, the builder and woman had met three years back when accused was repairing a flat of his building. They became friends.
According to the victim, the accused used to came to see the repairing work and visit her home. She claimed that he even took money from her to give the salary to the worker which he later returned to the victim. By doing so, he gained her trust.
When victim asked for his money and jewellery, the accused promised her to give one shop and one flat in his underconstruction building at Vasai.
The victim told mid-day that the accused took her to Vasai on the pretext of showing flat and shop and force fully raped her in his under construction building. He threatened her not to tell about the incident to anyone or else he will spoil her name in society. On the pretext of retuning her money the accused called her again and took her to different places where he raped her.
Finally woman filed a complaint to Tulinj police station on Saturday.
Tulinj police inspector Prakash Birajdar said, "We have registered a case under section IPC 376, 377, 420 and 504. The accused is still at large."
