The controversies surrounding the Mumbai University results fiasco refuses to abate and now, two new shocking developments have only added to the already full plate of concerns. On Wednesday, a few teachers said that in the on-screen assessment system, they received blank pages, which can affect the final tally for the respective candidates. Additionally, they claim that despite finishing off their allotted quota of assessment, they kept receiving more answer sheets in their online system's basket.

Teachers speak
"It was very weird. Maybe the scanning of those pages is not done properly. In this case, though, particular students might face the loss of marks," said one science professor from a city college, requesting anonymity.

Another professor questioned, "Generally, each professor has a quota of answer sheets that he/she has to assess. But, we are seeing additional answer sheets against our name every time we log in for assessment. What happened to the help taken from professors of other universities?"

Helpdesk set up
Meanwhile, to soothe frayed nerves of students who have missed out on an academic year due to the criminal delay in result announcement, it has started a help desk inside Kalina Campus. It will help students in getting the urgent confidential statement of marks for students who planned to study abroad or any other University in India. It will also help those students who already have letters from universities stating the deadline for admission.

On its first day, around 25 students approached the University for confidential mark scripts. Alongside, student bodies protested against the failure to announce result for a third day running.
