Newspaper distributors and vendors felicitated at Mayor's Bungalow
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar felicitated newspaper distributors and vendors at Mayor’s Bungalow this week and appreciated them for distributing newspapers even during COVID-19.

Calling them as torchbearers of truth, Pednekar said amid the lockdown it was important that authentic and verified news reaches the public and newspapers did that job diligently with vendors and distributors being the key in doing the job well.
“Like the body requires food to eat, newspapers provide food for thought,” she said while handing over appreciation certificates to the distributors' network.
She had invited the newspaper distributors and their family members to the bungalow.
Trustees of the Brihanmumbai Newspaper Vendors’ Association Jeevan Bhosle also attended the event along with a host of members.
