Kekoo Nicholson won the Cricket Club of India elections presidency which took place on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 at the Churchgate club. Nicholson, who was already president, will now be president for another two-year term. He won, beating contenders Kapil Malhotra and Nitin Dossa. Rajan Hiranandani was elected treasurer.
The club’s Annual General Meet (AGM) was watched closely, given the tempestuous run-up, with much mud-slinging.
During the run-up reports, where Nicholson was accused of stalking and having an affair with a lady member, had made headlines earlier.
There was some friction at the AGM about Malhotra using the club’s official email ID to send out emails, asking for votes.
The results were out on Sunday morning.
