Mumbai fire brigade is observing fire safety week from April 14 to 20 for which they have roped in Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda as their brand ambassador

Mumbai fire brigade is observing fire safety week from April 14 to 20 for which they have roped in Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda as their brand ambassador.

Since the year 2015 the Mumbai fire brigade has been observing Fire safety week from April 14-20. During this period there are fire drills at various command centres in the city like Vikrohli, Byculla, Wadala and Mankhurd, rallies and lectures on the fire services.

The event was attended by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Ajoy Mehta and Randeep Hooda who paid homage to Firefighters Memorial at the headquarters of the Mumbai fire brigade in Byculla on Thursday.

Fire Safety Week is held from 14 to 20 April every year, in honour of the 66 fire-fighters who lost their lives in the Bombay Explosion.
