Joke for a selfie?
With stand-up comedy coming into its own in India, it's safe to say that most established comedians give cricketers and actors a run for their money when it comes to clicking airport selfie with fans. Such that funnyman Kenny Sebastian has decided to turn the game on its head.

If someone wants a selfie with him at an airport, they have to share a joke. He plans to compile these videos for an Instagram series titled In Transit. The first video, which was posted a couple of days ago, shows how most fans need to rack their brains to come up with a single joke that they've heard in their entire life. While it makes for a hilarious watch, at least now they know joke-writing is serious business.

First daughters of the US, unite
Despite moving out of the White House, Malia Obama's moves have been closely scrutinised by the paparazzi – from her reported beau Rory Farquharson, a Harvard scholar with distant links to the British royal family, to a recent photo of her blowing smoke rings.

This intrusion got the former first daughter support from across party lines. First up was Donald Trump's oldest daughter Ivanka, who tweeted that Malia should be "allowed the same privacy as her school aged peers. She is a young adult and private citizen, and should be OFF limits."

Chelsea Clinton joined in: "Malia Obama's private life, as a young woman, a college student, a private citizen, should not be your clickbait. Be better." For Ivanka, though, there was bad news as the week ended.

Reports said Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has been ticked off with Ivanka stealing the centrestage during state visits and has barred officials from attending her global entrepreneurship summit in Hyderabad this week. Yes, the same summit that Deepika Padukone pulled out of in the wake of the Padmavati row.

All about buzzers and Bengali babus
This frame is the ultimate nostalgia trip for any quizzer from Bandra to Ballygunge, who grew up on quizzing shows on the telly in the 1990s and early 2000s. Siddhartha Basu and Derek O'Brien ruled primetime television with Quiz Time, BBC Mastermind and the Bournvita Quiz Contest.

These shows set the ball rolling for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), and many clones that emerged in quick succession. Recently, both quizmasters caught up at a forum hosted by a newsmagazine in Kolkata, where the bonhomie and banter was evident.

According to O'Brien's tweet soon after, it was their first meeting since 1985. The admiration for each other's craft came to the fore, going by the tweets that followed from both. While Basu made inroads in Indian television, including KBC, O'Brien plunged into politics, and is ready with his book, Inside Parliament.

Lesley vrooms them over
It was a week filled with biking memories in Vagator in Goa. Royal Enfield fans from across the country zoomed down to the beach state for Rider Mania, which was followed by the fifth edition of India Bike Week 2017 on November 24 and 25. Every biker's delight, the event saw some drool-worthy new launches in addition to star bikers from across the world. One of the coolest names at the event was Lesley Porterfield, the fastest woman biker in the world. The biking star spoke about building her own bike as a 16-year-old. She also presented an autographed UM Renegade bike for a competition milestone.

Paper weighs in
Did you know that plastic straws feature among the top 10 waste items found in beach clean-ups around the world?

If ditching the rather unnecessary tube of plastic to sip on your drink seems difficult, Mumbaikars now have the option of using straws made from responsibly sourced paper at 25 bars and restaurants around the city including the iconic Prithvi Cafe, The Bagel Shop in Bandra and several Social outlets.

The FDA-approved straws have been manufactured by a 100 per cent plastic-free food packaging provider. The initiative aims to rope in more restaurants every day and keep out a million straws from ending up at the landfill.
