Well-organised deal
Sanjay Jha, NCB zonal director told mid-day, “We seized 2 kg cocaine from her, which has an international market value of R12 crore.” He added, “Such drug peddlers aren’t familiar with those who run the business in the city. Once they manage to come out of the airport, they are informed about the hotel where rooms are already booked for them. On reaching the hotel, they inform the person who sent them to Mumbai. Thereafter, the peddler who has been assigned the job to collect the drugs, reaches the hotel within an hour.”

Code language
According to NCB officials, the network has a code language, which the peddlers use to identify each other. The consignment is handed over only after proper verification. After the process is over, the person who delivers the drug flies back to his/her country the same or the following day. Cops said the accused woman had boarded the flight of Ethiopian Airlines from Abu Dhabi.
