A man who allegedly committed murder in Dadar two years ago in 2015, was apprenhended by officers of the Mumbai Crime Branch at Shrirampur railway station in Ahmednagar, where he was found shining shoes. Cops say the accused was hiding out in Ahmednagar, after being on the run since the past two years.
According to Hindustan Times, police sources revealed that murder accused Shivaji Dattatray Ghodake killed Baliram Pandurang Rakte over drugs on September 24, 2015, by slashing the latter's hand with a bottle of solution, leading to him bleeding to death. The deceased Rakte was a residing near Dadar Railway station.

Ghodake, who was handed over to the Shivaji Park police was booked for murder with the government railway police (GRP) at Mumbai Central. The case was later transferred to Shivaji Park police station.

A cash reward of Rs 10,000 was announced by the police for his capture during the time he was absconding.

Mumbai Police officers nabbed him after camping for three days in the district. Several places in Maharashtra were visited by the unit 5 of the crime branch and the local police in order to trace Ghodake.
