If there was a original-ideas-to-show-a-stalker-his-place manual, this trick would make it to the list. A 30-year-old woman from Nalasopara used reverse psychology on her stalker to teach him a lesson. She said the man, identified as Chintu Singh Pritam, 35, had been harassing her for over a month. Fed up of his lewd calls and text messages, she was desperate to find a way out. She finally decided to pretend to find him lovable.

The woman asked Pritam to meet her at Nalasopara station on January 23. When the man, who is a Bhojpuri singer and stage performer from UP, met her, he immediately suggested that they head to a nearby hotel. This was her cue to slap him. Passers-by on noticing that she could do with some support cornered Pritam before he was handed over to the Tulinj police.

"He must have acquired my number easily; I am a social worker and a lot of people are in touch with me. Suddenly, last month, I began receiving messages from his mobile number, which I initially ignored. But, then he started calling and sending late night texts. He didn't back off despite my warnings," the woman said.

Since her family knew that he work demanded that she be available at all hours, they did not suspect anything amiss. "But, I was afraid that this would blow out of proportion and cause trouble for them. So, I decided to teach him a lesson and pretended to reciprocate. I told him to meet me at the station. He said he was about to leave for his native place but cancelled his ticket to meet me," she recalled.
