Shubham was playing near the nullah which is over 6 feet deep, and accidently slipped into it.

The locals saw him and informed the police. The boy was taken to the nearby Rajawadi hospital where he was declared dead. The locals have alleged that the gutter was recently widened for slum rehabilitation.

Senior Police Inspector Shrikant Mohite of Pant Nagar police station said an accidental death report has been registered and further investigations were on in the matter.

Shivram Surwade, father of the deceased said, “I was informed that my son fell into the nullah (gutter) while playing near it. At the hospital we were told he was dead.”
